PAC personnel at the site of a violent protest in Agra on Sunday by farmers against land acquisition . Jaypee Infratech has clarified that the farmers’ agitation in Greater Noida is not related to acquisition of land for the Yamuna Expressway, which is almost ready. A letter signed by Sachin Gaur, director and CFO, Jaypee Infratech, states, “The entire land pertaining to Yamuna Expressway was acquired by YEIDA with mutual consent of farmers and the entire compensation of the said land has been taken by land owners. It is in the public knowledge that the agitation in Bhatta Parsaul is for some development project being taken by YEIDA... Bhatta Parsaul area is 5km away from approximately CH13km of Yamuna Expressway and is in no way even remotely linked to the project”.
