Deccan Charters ready to roll Gujarat ops

Deccan Charters Limited will accept flight bookings for its intra-state air services connecting 11 important cities from Surat and Ahmedabad from Wednesday. Top company sources said the operational launch for the intra-state air service is scheduled on May 7 and that final preparations are underway to set up a call centre facility for the passengers to book their tickets in advance. According to company officials, the passengers have an opportunity to fly to their desired destination for Re1 by taking the benefit of ‘book early, pay less’ scheme. The customers have to dial on the call centre number 18605004050 where they will be guided on air fares, arrival and departure timings, destination covered, etc. “The ATR turbo aircraft ordered by the company is likely to arrive in Mumbai latest by Monday evening. After the initial paper work and custom clearance, the aircraft will be brought to Ahmedabad. We are seeking fresh date from the chief minister for organizing the inaugural flight ceremony,” said a senior officer of Deccan Charters. He said, “The response is tremendous. The tour operators in Gujarat, especially in Ahmedabad and Surat are getting frantic inquiries from the passengers in Gujarat and other states about the intra-state air services starting from May 7.”
