NCP : Non Commital Party

Pawar's play for Power continues...after flirting with the Shiv Sena...he now has an alliance with the Congress in Maharashtra and the Left & BJD in Orissa...it simply seems that he wants to be in the next government at any cost..possibly as PM.The deal among BJD, CPM, CPI and NCP was struck on March 8 when CPM politburo member Sitaram Yechury went to Orissa. BJD has decided to give one Lok Sabha seat each to CPM, CPI and NCP. For assembly elections, CPM has been given four seats, CPI five and NCP eight. While Congress might be enraged with Pawar’s political twotiming, there is glee in the Third Front. They feel Pawar sharing stage with them will not only bolster the alliance but could hasten the process of disintegration of UPA after the election.
